Cameron McCullagh
-
Non Executive Chairman
|
Cameron was awarded a CSR cadetship to undertake a Bachelor of Business, providing full time work experience for the first two years of his studies. Cameron subsequently joined KPMG, completing his professional year to become a Chartered Accountant.
Ernst & Young employed Cameron to work on due diligence assignments in Milan, Italy. Cameron returned to KPMG Sydney in 1990, working up to the level of Manager before moving to Macquarie Bank, working up to Associate Director level.
In 1995, Cameron joined White Iliffe, as a Chartered Accounting partner. At that time they managed Employers Mutual and White Funds Management. Cameron built the Audit & Advisory practice from $300K in annual fees in1995 to over $2.5 million in 2000. Cameron initiated and managed White Iliffe joining the international Moore Stephens network as its Sydney office.
During his time in public practice, Cameron also established White Outsourcing, providing accounting and investment administration services to boutique fund managers. White Outsourcing is a leader service provider in its field and has grown to around $18 billion of funds under administration.
Cameron was a key part of the establishment of Riverwise, the syndicate that bought approximately 90% of Leading Edge Group Limited from its founder.
When Cameron left Macquarie Bank to join White Iliffe, it was planned that should he display entrepreneurial and management ability, David Iliffe, the then CEO of Employers Mutual, would mentor Cameron to prepare him for his role. In July 2000 Cameron was appointed CEO. In the period to January 2009, when Cameron moved to Managing Director of Employers Mutual Management, annual premium under management grew from $80 million to over $1 billion. This remarkable organic growth was a direct result of the enviable Return to Work and financial results that Employers Mutual has become renowned for.
Cameron is a shareholder and Managing Director or Employers Mutual Management. Cameron is also Chairman of White Outsourcing Pty Limited and Executive Director – Strategy and Corporate Actions for Steadfast Group Limited.
