Central Credit
The process offers otherwise unattainable benefits:
Attracts supplier initiatives in the form of special buys.
Reduces the number of creditor payments by members by consolidating all centrally
billed purchases into one payment.
Achieves consistent terms of trade (net 30 days from statement) for all Central
Credit purchases.
Provides credit limits that in many cases are otherwise unobtainable.
Secures access to a wider range of brands and key stock lines.
HOW THE CENTRAL CREDIT PROCESS WORKS
Leading Edge first establishes a central credit account with participating suppliers.
Members complete a central credit account form to establish credit account with
Leading Edge.
Leading Edge establishes the member account, and allocates the member with a number
and appropriate credit limit.
Members are then free to continue (if already a customer) or commence to order goods
and services directly from suppliers.
Suppliers deliver the goods directly to the member in accordance with standard delivery
instructions, including a copy of the invoice or packing slip.
Suppliers then forward collective copies of invoices for member purchases to Leading
Edge for payment.
Leading Edge then pays participating suppliers for the collective member purchases.
Leading Edge then invoices and collects a single payment from each member for their
combined purchases made through the Central Credit facility.
